CCI France Western Canada is pleased to announce the kick-off meeting of the Energy & Natural Resources Committee, led by Emmanuel Giry.
The committee will focus on fostering dialogue, partnerships, and innovation in key industries central to our economies and the energy transition. Its scope includes:
Energy
Extraction and processing of energy resources: oil and gas, coal, uranium
Power generation from non-renewable (coal, gas, nuclear) and renewable (solar, wind, geothermal, hydro) sources
Energy storage and transmission
Non-Energy Resources
Mining industry (metals, rare earth elements, diamonds, etc.)
Forestry industry
Member introductions: background, expertise, interests, and potential contributions
Discussion of the Committee Charter:
Brainstorming session: ideas for short- and medium-term events or initiatives to generate meaningful content and engagement
This first meeting will set the foundation for a collaborative, cross-sector platform dedicated to knowledge sharing, innovation, and Franco-Canadian cooperation in energy and natural resources.
The committee is open to Chamber members, but if you’re not yet a member, you’re still welcome to join this kickoff call to learn more and decide if you’d like to get involved.
This informal videoconference is a great opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and help shape the committee’s priorities for 2026.
