This hybrid seminar will provide a practical overview of key differences in Canadian workplace law, with a comparative perspective for French employers and employees operating or working in Canada.
The session will address the following topics:
Work-based social security coverages: less coverage at lower cost
More powerful, less political unions
Greater flexibility in hours of work, but high overtime costs
Greater freedom to terminate employment, often at a high cost
Limited ability to prevent departing employees from competing
The seminar is designed for CCICW members, CCIT members, and interested non-members seeking to better understand the Canadian legal framework governing employment relationships.
