This Chamber was born from the evolution of the French Executive Circle, a business network which had been bringing together Francophone and Francophile business leaders in Western Canada for several years. As the network grew, so did the need for a more structured, visible, and action-oriented platform to support bilateral trade, investment, and collaboration.
The timing couldn’t be better.
With well-established France–Canada chambers in Eastern Canada, there was a clear gap — and opportunity — to create a western presence aligned with this national and international ecosystem. At the same time, both Canadian and French companies are facing a growing imperative to diversify their trade routes, build resilience into their supply chains, and explore new markets.
This Chamber was created to meet that moment — and to accelerate new connections, partnerships, and commercial success stories across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories.
The leading French network of businesses with over 35,000 members, founded in 1907, CCI France International (CCIFI) brings together and coordinates 126 French Chambers of Commerce and Industry France across 96 countries.
